The 2026 programming year for Optimize The Vizion officially began with our first event in partnership with the Emory Graduation Generation on Emory University’s campus.
From 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, students and families gathered for an experience designed to introduce, expose, and encourage young people to see college as a real and reachable future.
A Day of Exposure and Vision
Students toured the campus, shared lunch together, introduced themselves, and participated in creating Vizion Boards — a powerful activity where they mapped out goals, dreams, and what success could look like for their lives. Parents also participated, making the experience a shared moment of growth and understanding for both students and families.
Throughout the day, students engaged with the environment, asked questions, and simply enjoyed being present in a college setting. For many, this was more than a visit — it was an opportunity to picture themselves belonging in spaces like this.
The Start of a Journey
This event marked the first step in our 2026 OTV / Emory Graduation Generation College Preparation Program. Students will now continue their development through four virtual sessions, leading up to a final on-campus experience this April.
Programs like this exist to build confidence, expand perspective, and help students move from wondering if college is possible to understanding how it becomes possible.
We are grateful for the partnership, the families who showed up, and the students who brought energy and openness into the space.
One step. One belief. One vizion.
